In the apre-ski of our guesthouse you can rent a sledge and then just take the Gerlossteinbahn cable car and go. Adrenaline For adrenaline junkies, the Zillertal offers several adrenaline activities in the water or in the air. Paragliding Thanks to the beautiful nature and views that the Zillertal offers, this valley has become a popular location for paragliding. This is easy to spot if you look up into the clouds above you in the valley. There are several paragliding providers in the Zillertal. A popular take-off point can be found in Mayrhofen near the local cheese factory. Rafting, canyoning The turquoise-blue Ziller River directly invites you to jump in. Several adrenaline sports providers have taken advantage of this, allowing you to try rafting down the Ziller or explore its canyons on foot in a wetsuit. mayrhofen.at (2023) Zip-line Just a few hundred metres above the guesthouse, a circuit of four zip-lines awaits you. You can ride like Tarzan between the mountains while enjoying breathtaking views of the valley. The "Fyling Fox" zip line starts at the top station of the Gerlossteinbahn. Cycling

Cycling Thanks to the beautiful mountain landscapes and varied cycling routes, cycling is a popular activity in Zillertal. There are several marked cycle paths that lead through the valley, through picturesque villages, over the hills and up to the mountain peaks. There are also special cycling "single trails". For more demanding cyclists, there are challenges such as riding the Zillertal High Alpine Road, and if you prefer a more relaxing bike tour, you can ride through the valley along the Ziller River and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. E-bike Electric bikes have become very popular in Zillertal in recent years. They allow visitors to explore the peaks of even the highest mountains without prior training. Even some local restaurants and pubs have adapted to this trend and allow cyclists to recharge their batteries at charging stations. Some of our favourite stops for electric bikes are the Legalhütte and Kreuzwiesenalm huts. You can find an e-bike rental shop on almost every corner! With the Zillertal Arena cable car and the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen now making it easier for cyclists to reach the peaks without the initial strenuous climb up. In fact, they allow athletes to export upwards with their bikes. Skiing in Zillertal Zillertal is the largest ski valley in the world and offers up to 542 km of pistes. From 580 m above sea level you can reach up to 3350 m above sea level with up to 180 lifts. Ski from the door of the guesthouse The Gerlossteinbahn ski area is located right next to the guesthouse, allowing you to be first on the slopes and enjoy "Manchester". This small ski area offers 2 red, one black and one blue anchor runs and is therefore perfect for families with children. Hiking

Trekking The Zillertal Valley is a great destination for hikers. It offers up to 1,400 km of hiking trails from the lowlands to the lonely peaks of the three thousanders. This vast array of routes of varying difficulty allows everyone to find their own. Lifts in summer The summer season in the Zillertal is coming to the fore, which has caused the summer operation of almost all the lifts in the valley. The opportunity to walk in two thousand is therefore nothing impossible. If this is something that interests you, the Zillertal offers the so-called Zillertal Activcard, which gives you a discount just for cable car rides and other admissions. Gerlossteinwand hike The Gerlossteinwand hike is the closest hike option from the guesthouse. Gerlossteinwand can even be seen directly from the windows of the guesthouse and resembles a table mountain. The route leads through beautiful nature and is highly recommended for all guests. This circular trail takes about 3 to 5 hours, but the views you get as a reward are really worth it. On your return, you can indulge in a local specialty in one of the mountain huts at the top of the cable car station. Hotspot: Olpererhüte You may have seen this photo before. One of the most visited places in the Zillertal is this suspension bridge at the Olpererhüte hut. The route is more challenging, but the climb is worth it. The route starts at the Schlegeis dam and leads you up through the rocky countryside. Along the way you enjoy views of the dam and are very likely to cross paths with chamois. Please note that due to the popularity of this place, you may encounter quite a few tourists in the main summer months of July and August.
